Another alert is displayed if the device serial number on the card does not match the serial number associated with a patient record in EncoreAnywhere.Click the X icon to close the window. Download CardTo download therapy data from a data card:Insert a data card into the reader/writer and connect the data card reader/writer to your computer.
If the patient data on the card does not match a patient in EncoreAnywhere, a message is displayed alerting you to that fact. The card is now ready to use.Click the X icon to close the Data Card Utilities window. PreviewTo preview the data on a data card:Insert a data card into the card reader/writer and insert the reader/writer into the computer.From the Patient List click on the name of the patient for whom you want to preview data.The patient's summary information is displayed by default.Click on the Data Card Utilities link.The Data Card Utilities window is displayed.Select the Preview card tab.The Preview card tab displays the data stored on the card. When the initialization is complete, be sure to remove the data card from the reader BEFORE clicking the Finish button.A final confirmation prompt is displayed.Click OK to acknowledge the message. Note: Initialization does not erase the card.Click Yes to confirm and continue with the initialization.
If the card does not contain a Philips Respironics therapy device-compatible data folder on it, a message is displayed in red text.Click the Initialize card tab.A list of data cards (and other drives that may be attached to your computer) is displayed.Select the data card you want to initialize for use in the therapy device then click the Initialize button.If the data card is not blank a confirmation message is displayed verifying that you want to initialize the card. Please go to the patient and try to download.'After a download has completed, you can insert a new card and click Refresh to evaluate/download the new card. If you are not authorized to view the patient's data, then only the Initialize Card and Erase Card tabs are displayed and the patient's name and patient ID are also not displayed.If no patient is found in EncoreAnywhere corresponding to the device serial number found on the card, the Preview and Download Card tabs are disabled and a message is displayed: 'We are unable to automatically find the patient in EncoreAnywhere. If you experience any difficulties when using a SmartCard, refer to Troubleshooting SmartCards for possible causes and solutions.The Data Card Utilities link, shown on the My Patients window and near the top of the EncoreAnywhere window, allows you to initialize a data card for use, preview existing data on the card, download therapy data from the card, and erase data on the card. Notes about SmartCards and SD cards:Never remove a SmartCard or SD card from the reader while data is being transferred to or from the card.Wait for the confirmation message to display following the read/write operation. Notes about the Data Card Utility if launched when the patient details page is not open:The device serial number present on the card is used to identify the patient data on the card.If a device serial number is found on the card and you are authorized to access the corresponding patient's data then all tabs in the Data Card Utility are displayed.
